Venkatesh to remake Malayalam Block buster

Venkatesh-starrer "Drushyam", a Telugu remake of recent Malayalam blockbuster "Drishyam", is currently being shot in Idukki district of Kerala where most of the original was filmed.

"Most of the film will be shot in Kerala, similar to locations from the original. Only for few scenes, the unit will shoot in other places outside the state. The first schedule of the film will be wrapped up soon," the film's spokesperson said.

Being directed by Sripriya and produced by Suresh Production, "Drushyam" also features Meena, Nadhiya and Esther in important roles.

"Drishyam", which is about a man's effort to cover up a murder committed by his family, featured superstar Mohanlal in the lead.

The original is also being remade in Tamil and Kannada. While Kamal Haasan will play the lead in the Tamil version, veteran actor Ravichandran will be seen in the lead role in Kannada.

Balakrishna Legend Movie Release date

Nandamuri Balakrishna's latest flick Legend has completed its shooting part and will be moving to post-production works shortly. The dubbing of the film is expected to get completed in a couple of days and the makers have already booked their slot for censor. On 21st Legend movie will be scrutinized by the CBFC and rest of the works will be wrapped up as early as possible.

Legend is set for a massive release on 28th of this March. The music of the film which was launched couple weeks ago got huge response from the music lovers and expectations have doubled. Also with Simah combination [Balakrishna and Boyapati] coming together, Tollywood is expecting a good start for the summer season.

14 Reels Entertainment and Varahi Chalana Chitra banners are mutually producing the movie.

Suriya to Play Stylish Dual Roles in Anjaan

Director Lingusamy has officially confirmed that Suriya is playing dual roles in his on going film Anjaan that stars Samantha as the female lead.

Speaking to a Mumbai based trade magazine, director-producer Lingusamy revealed Suriya is playing stylish dual role in Anjaan. “Its great experience working with a dedicated actor like Suriya. In my film Anjaan, he plays a gangster from the Mumbai underworld and we've styled him in a very stylish avatar. This is the first time he will be playing a double role in which both the characters are stylish.

“Suriya is amazing and shows commitment towards mastering the character he plays”, he added.

Thirupathi Brothers and UTV producing Anjaan is complete commercial entertainer packed with a little suspense, drama, action and romance. Suriya's Anjaan release is salted for August 15.

Amala Paul Enters Rs 1 Crore Club

If sources are to be believed, actress Amala Paul, who is popular in Telugu and Tamil has received 1 crore as remuneration for upcoming Telugu film produced by Dasari Kiran Kumar under the banner of Ramdootha Cine Creations. This film is titled as Vastha Nee Venuka and Genius fame Havish is playing main lead.

Major shooting part of the film will be shot in Europe and it is touted to be new age triangular love story. Anthaku Mundhu Aa Tharuvatha heroine Eesha is also paired up with Havish. Ramesh Varma is directing this film while Vijay K Chakravarthy is cranking camera.
